How Far Along: 22 weeks
Total Weight Gained: 124 (8 lbs)
Maternity Clothes: I think this is about to become redundant
Sleep: A lot has been going on lately so I've been getting to bed pretty late - I'm definitely feeling it in the afternoon! I can barely keep my eyes open!
Best Moment of the Week: Well, we had visitors for over a week which was GREAT! Our dear friend Jennifer came for about 5 days and then Adam's parents came for a visit as well. So wonderful having company during the day and, of course, MC just ate it up!
Food Cravings: Big craving for Nutella cookies the other day. MC was an excellent sous chef and did a fantastic job helping mommy and daddy.
Food Aversions: Well, while this has nothing to do with being pregnant and a "food aversion" I am over some tiki masala. I've had so much Indian food lately (this one AMAZING dish imparticular) that I just can't eat it anymore.
Belly button/stretch marks: Still an innie, although Adam has expressed his for it to be an outtie. Says its cute. Um, ew. No thanks. No stretch marks yet.
Symptoms: Pregnancy brain. Conversations with myself might go something like "Where did I put the kitchen towel?" Cut to five minutes later and me opening the freezer "Oh, in the freezer. Of course. Obviously that's the logical place to put it.... " Geez.
Adam's pregnancy symptoms: Still nesting. With his dad in town they managed to complete numerous projects which were much appreciate by the OCD wife :)
Movement: Much more often now! We did have a slight scare over the weekend though. I randomly started getting EXTREMELY painful, sharp, stabbing pains in my abdomen -right above my belly button. Nothing was helping - sitting, standing, lying down. It was SOO painful and extremely scary. We called the nurse's line and kept getting an answering machine, and called the hospital who transferred us to about 5 different people. Adam was livid, as I'm sure you can imagine. After about 45 minutes of trying to get a hold of someone the pains gradually subsided and I felt fine. We finally did receive a call back about 2 hours after everything started and she told me she thought it might have been round ligament pain. I experienced that with MC and don't think that's what it was, but who knows. Bean is still moving around like one happy boy so everything is fine now! Praise God!
Gender: Boy - Grayson Carter
Milestones: This was the week our little soccer star showed his stuff. We are to the point where Bean is moving my belly with those precious kicks. Adam sat in awe the other day as I raised my shirt and our little alien began pushing my belly out in various spots (remember he was gone for all of this with MC). Pretty wonderful moment to share together. Most of the time I feel like this is my first pregnancy in that I get to be excited about things all over again as I watch Adam experience them for the first time. God is good!! :)
