How Far Along: 17 weeks
Total Weight Gained: 121 (5 lbs)
Maternity Clothes: Somehow still manage to button one or two pairs of prebaby shorts but mostly sporting maternity shorts or dresses
Sleep: I have been SOO exhausted from all the moving that sleep has been pretty good lately.
Best Moment of the Week: Wow. LOTS of great moments this week! First of all, I FINALLY felt little Bean kick!!! Guess what day it was.... The day we had our ultrasound. I like to think the little guy was excited we finally knew he was a boy :) (Can I just add that while I am ecstatic to be having a boy, I feel SOO clueless!! I felt great about having a girl - those are things I know. I suppose that's why we have husbands though; to take over when we go blank.)
Food Cravings: Getting a sweet tooth. Oh boy. Hopefully this won't last the remainder of the pregnancy.
Food Aversions: Nothing. Food good.
Belly button/stretch marks: None to speak of - still gotta remember to put that dang belly cream on though.
Symptoms: I would like to consider myself symptom free. The hubs may beg to differ.
Adam's pregnancy symptoms: Overly sensitive. I won't complain about this one. This man cried when he watched the ultrasound and found out we were having a boy. And continued crying for about 15 minutes after we left the appointment. Remember, he was gone the entire time I was pregnant with MC. He didn't get to see a single ultrasound except when we found out and she was little more than a dot. I can imagine the emotion that flooded over him seeing his child on an ultrasound for the first time. Bless him. Such a lucky woman.
Movement: YES!!! 17 was the magic week. Shortly after our ultrasound we were discussing our recent discovery of Bean's boy parts and I got quite a kick to the belly. I like to think he's stoked the secrets out.
Gender: Ironically enough, MC and mommy called it from the beginning. We found out this week that a BABY BOY it is!!!! We couldn't be more excited to have one of each. Our perfect little family!!
Milestones: Finding out Bean's gender and feeling those sweet kicks for the first time! What a week!!
** On a side note, I must remember to keep my sense of humor during this pregnancy. A young cashier at Marshall's asked me how old MC was the other day when we were checking out. I told him and then he said , "and another one on the way, huh?" Oh the fun I could've had had it struck me... "Um, excuse me??! I am NOT pregnant! Do I look pregnant to you??!! I am just that fat, huh??!" Total missed opportunity. I took the boring, honest route and said yes. Dang.
